Privacy Policy

This policy describes what BeakerBoard (beakerboard.net) collects, why, and how you can reach us. “We”, “us”, and “our” refer to Oddbeaker LLC.

1. What we collect

• Free tier (no account). Saved boards are stored only in your browser’s local storage (7-day window); they are not sent to or stored on our servers. Drawing content exists in memory only while a live session is running and is sent over a WebSocket to the other connected clients of that session. Audience participants enter a display name, which is held in memory only for the duration of the session.
• Signed-in (paid) accounts. You sign in with Google. We receive your Google account ID, email address, and display name, and use them to identify your account and subscription. For signed-in users we set an HTTP-only session cookie (bb_session, SameSite=Lax, up to 30 days).
• Billing. Payments are processed by Stripe (annual $20 Pro subscription). Card details are entered on Stripe-hosted pages; we do not see or store card numbers.
• Server logs. Basic server logs (IP address, user agent, request timestamp) for operations and security, kept for a limited period.

2. How we use it

To provide the service, identify your account, process your subscription, and for basic operations and security.

3. Analytics and tracking

The site runs Google Analytics (gtag.js, measurement ID G-2CD7Q9ZSXJ) for basic usage statistics. No other third-party tracking scripts are used.

4. Sharing

We share data with Google (OAuth sign-in) and Stripe (billing). We do not sell personal data.

5. Retention

Free boards: 7 days in your browser. Account and subscription data: until you request deletion. Server logs: limited period.

6. Your rights

Email us to request access to, or deletion of, your account data.

7. Security

Traffic is served over TLS (reverse proxy); the session cookie is HTTP-only.

8. Changes

We may update this page; the date above reflects the latest revision.

Terms of Service

These terms apply to your use of BeakerBoard (beakerboard.net), operated by Oddbeaker LLC. By using the service you agree to them.

1. Service

BeakerBoard is a collaborative whiteboard for presentations: a main display plus a tablet/stylus presenter, real-time drawing, and optional audience pointing.

2. Free tier

Unlimited presenting. Saved boards are kept in your browser only (7-day window) and are not synced across devices.

3. Paid (Pro)

$20/year, auto-renewing subscription processed by Stripe. Includes: branding removal, QR hidden after claim, audience pointing toggle, cloud saved sessions, session rename, and custom logo. You may cancel at any time; the subscription stays active until the end of the current period.

4. Accounts

You sign in with Google. You are responsible for activity under your account; we do not store your Google password.

5. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the service while on the free tier or during your subscription.

6. Your content

Boards and drawings are yours. You grant us a limited license to process and display them during live sessions.

7. Acceptable use

Do not abuse the service, upload malware, or attempt to disrupt it. We may suspend or terminate access for breach.

8. Availability and warranty

The service is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind and without any uptime guarantee.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using the service or cancel your subscription at any time. We may terminate for breach. Sections that by their nature should survive will survive.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction — to be confirmed].
